Pete Stoyanovich had an eventful start to his 1996 NFL season. For one, he found himself on a new team for the first time in his career following a preseason trade from Miami. His last scoring attempt as a Dolphin was a moot doink in a rainy mid-August matchup under the bright lights of Monday Night Football. Now, in his second regular-season game for the Chiefs, Stoyanovich again found himself in the news for a moot doink. The Kansas City Star illustrated the kicker's attempts for the day in a sidebar aptly titled "StoyanoKicks," including a starburst marking the 47-yarder that hit the right upright.
