He completed an impressive preseason, wherein his worst kick against the visiting Redskins was an extra point that bounced in off the upright. In the days following this game, Kaare was the victim of an off-the-field assault, which led to him missing the remainder of his rookie year on the non-football injury list. His 2018 preseason got off to a promising start as well, leading to him being traded from the Ravens to the Vikings. Kaare spent 2 preseason games in Minnesota before ultimately being waived after being unable to re-capture the magic of his rookie year.
